... beach we went to have lunch at a restuarant in Marseillan, another small town nearby. I had beef but i had to get the waiter to take it back because when i cut it, it was so raw inside . This is how the french eat their meat, i felt bad but there was no way i could eat it like that. When they brought it back it was still really raw and so he took it back again and this time when i got it back they had taken the meat of the skewer and ...

... Climbing up and up the roughly cobbled path you get a feeling of imposing grandure from the massive structure towering above. Walking along fortified walls strung with archer keys I couldn’t help but imagine I was a medieval maiden. (And to help with this fantasy, the nearest shop sells period clothing for both you and your partner!). Cruising through the streets my imagined past was crushed by the tapas bars and screaming children. I ...
Vic-la-Gardiole, Languedoc-Roussillon, France 2totango... nice because I hadn't seen him in a while. Clement is the closest thing I have to a real childhood friend (sorry Tim, but we met when we were 12 so you are my real teenagehood friend, okay?) from elementary school. His father owns a restaurant in town so we'd have a blast eating and drinking there for free. We caught up on so much lost time and reminsced about the things we'd do when we were kids. I think that every time we see each other we ...

... people. I have met so many people that have touched me emotionally, intellectually, or just made me laugh very hard. Out of the people I have met, only few I can call real friends that I would like to see again. Now, however, I have contacts in San Diego, Germany, Montana, Montreal, England, and Australia. All these people have extended an invitation to stay with them if I am ever in the area.

... their way back home. Needless to say they were celebrating a win so it was a party on the train. I spoke lots of French, got free drinks and was even given free tickets to the next match by the manager, totally awesome. It was hilarious how retarded drunk French guys act around an American girl. Obviously they were mistaken because I am a smart and attentive American girl, making sure to watch my back and ...
Montpellier, Languedoc-Roussillon, France amberbogie... stadium for concerts during the summer.
Next we drove up the road to the Pont d Gard which is a huge roman aquaduct built nearly 2000 years ago to carry water from Uzes to the town of Nimes.
Graeme and Rita arrived at about 5:30 and we had a barbque and a few local wines. A lovely evening all in all
... lot, because Oli had dragged us to a nudist beach! Apparently it's the nicest beach in Montpellier. I was absolutely horrified by the idea - I'm living in England now, I'm allowed to be a prude. So I was complaining, partly because I envisaged something like the infamous Maslins Beach in South Australia, which is known to attract perverts and gawkers and not too many genuine nude bathers. My anxiety was unfounded though, because in fact about three quarters ...
