“If you go up that road you can see the place where Piet Retief
and his men were killed after Dingaan realized they were trying to
exploit the resources of his people. Later explorers found their
bones and buried them in a mass grave. See? You can just see the top
of the memorial they put up to mark the spot.”

The Weather did not cooperate and it was cool and windy and stated raining , so we went for only a short hike down to the Shore and back up to the Parking lot where we feed some Monkeys. A travel blog entry by purplebuggy on Mar 06, 2010

... every now and then Rusty get's "red eyes" (literally and figuratively), this was one of those days. I was the last in line and Rusty came up wanting a fight. I smacked him but this didn't have the usual effect. He looked at me and came running - he charged me! I had to use both hands to get him away and regain my balance. This was not something I was happy about because my broken wrist caned during and afterwards. Thank god for the brace though! ...

Another week gone at Enkosini. It's interesting how some weeks you’re right into things and the next you just feel like a total blob and end up having a lazy week. Admittedly it didn’t help that 3 days of activities were things I couldn’t help much in because of my wrist. (A full day of walking then a camp I knew would throw it out and make it throb ...
