... owl, impalas, a water buck (they have a white ring around their butt that looks like a toilet seat), Giraffes (my favorite, they are so graceful), Wildebeasts, wart hogs (Pumba!), an African Rock Python and some beautiful birds. Before the drive was over, it started to rain, again. But it was an amazing afternoon! We had dinner with our ranger and then headed for bed since we were getting a wake up call for 5am so we could grab a bite and tea before our 6am ...

... In the afternoon we went up to Blyde Canyon DAM , with it Lake and beautiful surroundings. The Weather did not cooperate and it was cool and windy and stated raining , so we went for only a short hike down to the Shore and back up to the Parking lot where we feed some Monkeys. ... every now and then Rusty get's "red eyes" (literally and figuratively), this was one of those days. I was the last in line and Rusty came up wanting a fight. I smacked him but this didn't have the usual effect. He looked at me and came running - he charged me! I had to use both hands to get him away and regain my balance. This was not something I was happy about because my broken wrist caned during and afterwards. Thank god for the brace though! ...

Another week gone at Enkosini. It's interesting how some weeks you’re right into things and the next you just feel like a total blob and end up having a lazy week. Admittedly it didn’t help that 3 days of activities were things I couldn’t help much in because of my wrist. (A full day of walking then a camp I knew would throw it out and make it throb ...
