... we joined in and got our camera out too, ha ha. Shortly after, on the hunt for some food we met a really nice couple called James and Rachel. We spent the rest of the night with them enjoying the spectacle of traditional music and dancing, not to mention the amazing floats people had made. Caught up in the moment, James slinked off and bought us all a lantern. Now we were properly equip with floats and lanterns. We made our way to the ...

... he soloed up about 5m then back down a stalactite then back over and down again. At this point i had to ask what grades he was climbing.... He finally admitted to climbing a few 8's!!! this left me a bit jaw dropped. He then demonstrated by soloing the first half of an 8a then coming down the next adjacent route. He made it look so easy i was very jelous of his strength and skill. While bouldering a few other climbers came past and stopped for a chat ...
Krabi, Krabi, Thailand feeandpete... Thailand on a moped. It was a little scary at first on the unfamiliar roads, but Dan drove carefully. Judith balanced on the back saying the "Rosary"! We visited Wat Tham Seua, or Tiger Cave Monastery, billed as one of South Thailand's most famous and interesting forest temples. There monks live, meditate and worship within a maze of natural caves in an overgrown jungle valley. Many Thai women live out ...
Krabi, Thailand dancoughlin... and legs got a little banged up on the rocks but that was the least of my concerns. I was seriously scared! Wondering how the hell we were all supposed to get out of this dangerous area and back to the boat safely. Clint and I then waited for the tour guide to give us a "go" and hearts pounding we swam our absolute hardest to get away from the crashing waves. We tiredly made it! Once near the boat we watched Julie attempt this nerve racking feat. She came ...
Krabi, Thailand katenclint... Krabi town to find our new accommodations on Ton Sai, the first weekend vacation hot spot when I was here a couple of years ago. My first trip back on a longtail boat. Those miserable, loud, shaky, leaky, unstable, oversized and under-constructed canoes with souped up diesel engines that used to make me cringe actually brought a ridiculously goofy grin to my face. As I waded into the sea, thigh deep, to huck ...
Krabi, Thailand janice21... and ended it with sitting on the toilet which continued for the next 4 days completely writting off any kind of activity. After that I was good to go and made the most of the sun, sea, sand and rocks! With trusty JU on the belay we tackled some wicked climbs. No pics though =(. To finish our last week off we went out with a couple from the states for a full day climbing. Possibly the best day we had, even Jenn ...

Krabi, Thailand alongcamezoe... in and out, and of the island from all sorts of angles. The name of the island Siboya Island I was told it meant Crocodile Island but there haven't been any croc sightings for years. We left with mixed feelings, I for one felt very much at home there but... After Siboya there wasn't much left to do in Bangkok but bide away our time before flying back home
Krabi, Thailand williwinkle... and I instantly played in my mind the next sequence of events in disturbing clarity: The rope saws itself across the jagged rock, eventually sawing right through(I’ve seen this in the movies a dozen times!); I plummet to the ground in silence, the surreal feeling of free falling as the rock face whizzes by and the ground 'rises up to meet me’ all in that silent slow motion feeling you get when you are in the middle of something very, very bad but have little ...
