... we made sure we caught the Brazil Chilli match in the local bar!! It was great to see everyone in their yellow and green colours, along with their kids, grandparents and dogs!

During the five days we visited some amazing beaches, did a spot of surfing, ate like royalty and generally spoilt rotten.

Sam and Renato love to travel so decided to join us on our next stop in Paraty!

... with under 20 items. After queueing for a good 20 minutes it was our turn to pay... at least that´s what we thought... turns out this queue was for people over 60 (since when is this a thing) so we decided to leave all our items and head back to the hostel, hoping that the guys would still be waiting for us. They were! So we headed out in the rain. Once back, it was time to cook our delicious steaks. We then chilled at the hostel with the guys and Ciaran and Nick joined us ...

... cross over the main motorway. Pretty sure maps don't mark major footpaths... Arriving at the metro we successfully bought some metro passes ($3R for one ride) and caught the metro to São Bento. Here we visited the monastery which was beautiful. The walls were lined with biblical statues, surrounded by candles and incense. The atmosphere was really something. Day 15: Maranduba

After a day away, it was nice to get back to normality and head to Pulso beach for one last chilled day - by car this time, the kayak was left at home.

We were one man down, as Mikey had a spot of sunstroke, 6 days on the beers, as well as being up at 6am with Helena had taken its toll!
