    Boat Trip

... has an almost stereotypical California surfing dude air/style about him. There were another three guys on the boat but they didn't speak English. As the capacity is 20+ it meant we had plenty of space. The guide gave us some island history as we tore around to the otherside of the island; it was initially used as a holding place for immigrants to check they didn't have cholera or yellow fever. In the early 20th century it was a prison which was finally decommisioned in 1992 ...

    Rain & Minimal Hangovers

Not long in to our time at the beach and we were playing a game of 6 a side beach footy with some other English dudes. They were a pretty nice collection of English footy players. Whilst we were playing another group of French dudes walked past and asked to join so we ...

... as we arrived late most of the good spots were taken, we do find a small spot though and stay for a couple of hours, but have to move when the tide came in, so we headed back to the Pousada to chill in the pool. That evening we went back to the great bruschetta restaurant on the beach to eat. Whilst there we saw loads of crabs on the beach heading down from the town to the water. The restaurant owner told us the crabs come from the forest every year to the beach ...
