Ilha Grande is an island about an hours boat ride off the coast of Angra, it has no cars and reminded a little of sark only much bigger and with more rain forest. The boat ride was rather interesting. The boat was kind of like a massive rib with sides but the bow and stern were open. There was about 50 people on board ...

Left about a quarter of it. Then went to some random love bay ...

... and 20 mins in I looked like I had been in the steam room at The Grove for two hours. The humidity is unbelievable. Pale green top not a good look! We saw black vultures, howler monkeys and a little green snake. Bella and I were well equipped with our walking boots but were regularly overtaken by locals wearing flip flops! We came across beaches that were deserted straight out of Robinson Crusoe. However Lopes ...

... enough we detzd it and began the walk around 4 o'clock. Kind of sketchy as the sun sets around 6 & some of the walk would definately not be kosha in the dark. There were heaps of freaky sounding noises coming from the jungle which was a little unsettling, but I had a pretty decent stick on me to fight off the Jaguars. Just made it back as darkness fell. Bought some dinner & beer when a power cut happened.. Chilling in candle ...
