...and we feel fine!!!!!

30 hours, 3 buses, and 1 rugby team later, we crossed the Straights of Magellan and set our eyes on the humble oceanside city of Ushuaia.

Weary of bus travel, we lugged our bags to the soft and relaxing Yakush Hostel http://www.hostelyakush.com.ar/ where the soft latin music was playing and the gentile mood lighting set the tone as we entered our first glimpse of what our next home would be like for the ...

Ushuaia, Patagonia, Argentina andre_c10002... every day we stay in Ushuaia. The town has great fresh air, it is chilly, but not bad as the sun is still shining bright. The high altitude mountains have snow, but green sections cover the lower sections. We have not hotel, but I had talked to a person at the barber shop that told me where to stay, a hotel called Los Naranjos, which means the Oranges. We leave the airport and get a taxi to the hotel and check in. It is kind ...
Ushuaia, Patagonia, Argentina 90daywalkabout... goes through various terrains, you start off walking along Roca lake where you get a beautiful mirror image of the Feugian range and blue skies. You then start your ascent through the deep valleys in the dense forest. It starts to level off where i come to the peat bogs where i sometimes i am more then ankle deep in mud, good for the skin they say. Lastly is the steepest ascent where I trudge ...
Ushuaia, Patagonia, Argentina heinz82... seasons and you can see evidenceof this in the tree graveyards that line the route of the railway. The trees were cut rather crudely using poor tools. Some of the tree stumps are cut about four to six foot off the ground indicating that they were cut in a time of snowfall and others are quite close to the ground within a foot or two.. The railway line finished in the national park some 22 km from Ushuaia, where ...
Ushuaia, Patagonia, Argentina shanem... who was here for a day and we took the ´Costera ruta´ which alternated between walking by the edge of the water and through jungle like forests. It was like a real live fairy land! I still can´t believe that places like that still exist. The route was 8 km and supposefly takes 3 hours, but we tended to roam of the pth and stop in little bays and ended up taking 5 hours orso to finish the hike! My body hurt like never before the next day but it was well worth it. Amazing views ...
Ushuaia, Patagonia, Argentina aishwarya... airline started to call out my flight number and I had to go to the front of the line as it was departing soon, now comes the good news, an upgrade to business class thank you very much, ok so here I sit I have arrived in Ushuaia after a false start on the plane you see this was a flight that stopped along the way, the only problem with that was that I could not understand the stewardess and so I got of the plan and was standing there waiting for my ...
Ushuaia, Patagonia, Argentina denis.df... Viedma TO: Puerto Piramides FINISH: 2691 km Sleep, wake up, breakfast, load the bags and off again for a day of kilometre munching. This now familiar routine which comprises hours on the bike with nothing but the voice inside your helmet for company...it does allow for some amusing ponderings. One that got me thinking today was from the wonderful world of Italian Gelato. It was up at Iguazu Falls when Pier and I went to the local gelateria, and despite the gelato being of ...
