      ... a quiet place and all managed a bowl of pasta, then a slow walk home. Lovely still night, not cold at all. Home for showers and bed, we plan to get on the local train tomorrow and head back to one of the Cinque terre towns, and then walk between a few of the towns along the coast, stopping somewhere for lunch.       ... through one by one. There was a lot of waiting, but finally I was waved through. I didn't see any accidents so maybe this was just the Italian way of generation more jobs?
      I got to the end of the road and found out why. It was a dead end, but with the small village of Portofino there with it's harbour and huge yachts. There isn't much parking space, so they let one in if one leaves.

      ... was a huge hike. People parking at the lot had hiking poles and backpacks for the hike. We were definitely not prepared for the hike. Well ok then.
