... Sea, alfresco, and made a grab for the one remaining table. There were three other tables occupied when we arrived, and the waitress was overwhelmed with our arrival (and the subsequent arrival of 3 other smaller groups). She just rushed by us, obviously flustered, so we grabbed some drinks and sat at our table and waited, not sure she was planning to get to us. Rush hour at Coniglia? We saw her make a hasty phone call, backup? Eventually ...

The sick ones voted to stay put while Michael, Ellen and I went out for a stroll and to find a restaurant for lunch. Rapallo is quiet, and small, and there's no selfie stick sellers! Very pretty. Michael, Ellen and I headed down to a nearby supermarket for supplies and something for dinner. We've eaten. ...

An English couple I spoke with at Genoa Principale stazione suggested I go to Genoa Bignole instead as more trains went to Recco from there. So I went one station along but to no avail. All up I spent four hours at the stazioni only to watch each train cancelled a short time before it was due to depart. I dragged my backpack up and down many stairs ..... ...

... thing. But, it served a purpose. It provided us transportation to an area that after 20 days traveling, we didn't have the energy to suss out for ourselves. I just have to add that the tour description was very straight forward. It identified, quite clearly, the need to be able to walk steep and sometimes rugged terrain, and several sets of stairs, from the tour bus parking area to the villages and the train stations.
