The drive to Porcupine Pie (our guesthouse at Wilderness Heights) was incredible. It started in a fairly mediocre fashion as we visited Knysna which is reputed to be one of the prettiest towns along the Garden Route. found the force 7 gale. When we returned the deck now judged unsafe was being
closed busily by the staff. We had some difficulty getting back inside.

Tomorrow morning we have to do battle with the South African
Immigration Officials at 0630 in order to get off the ship and do our booked
tour in Capetown (City Tour and Castle of Good Hope. No alcohol and an early
night required tonight.

... had a huge 'ostrich boom' - everyone was growing rich. Now there are still ostrich farms - just not as many rich people. On Friday I started a 3 day trip around the Western Cape. We drove down the back side of Table Mountain on our way out of Cape Town and it was such an amazing view. We went down to Hout Bay to board a boat to go to see a seal island. We could smell the island way before we saw it!
