... of Hawaii’s countryside could slowly drift us around the island and show us bits that not everyone has a chance to see…..well weren’t we in for a little surprise. The morning started with a planned breakfast prepared by the chef (this breakfast was HUGE!) consisting of yoghurts, fruit platters homemade granola, banana and walnut loaf baked that morning. The chef then had to mention that omelettes were made to order (6 eggs in mine please) with a variety of ...

We flew to Kaua'i on 13th June, our anniversary, and we met our friends Tom and Helen at Honolulu airport before the flight and exchanged some travel stories. It is very good to see them and enjoy their excellent company. The flight was only half an hour, a real treat after some of the earlier lengthy affairs. The Island, formed by a volcano, is now a roughly circular, mountainous place which is very ...

... three separate occasions. He showed me many pictures from my last trip and gave me a ton of ideas of where to visit when I head to Indonesia. It was easy to tell how enchanted he is with Indo just by his excitement for the trip I have ahead!

Overall, it was a great day catching up with a great friend, learning about and seeing more of this beautiful island, and witnessing some amazing surfing!
