... After the soup the entertainment began-four local musicians who played Czech folk songs, renaissance songs, Slovak tunes, American blues and folk songs. It was a great addition to a traditional Czech dinner of roast pork and rice. We were charged to guess the ages and occupations of the musicians-our table came the closest and we won the prizr of a CD. It was a joyful evening, and we all walked home with smiles on our faces.
We love this resort so much that we decided to stay another day and night. The photos of Pocatky were taken from a 16th. century bell tower. We were inside at 12 noon but the bells didn't ring. Thank goodness.
Photo of the time keeper's "nest" are included.
We both had massages today.
Left our Prague apartment this morning and drove to this fitness resort. Foot massage for 2 (that's people not feet) at 6 PM. Horseback riding at 10 AM, full body massage at 2 and Jacuzzi at 7:30 tomorrow. We should really be relaxed by Tuesday!!
Great weather, great time.

By the way, thanks Kate for the pocket guide, it was invaluable in getting around.
So much for Prague, now we're on our way to Vienna (Wien). Our intermediate stop is at a little village - Opatov. On the shore of a small lake it is deep in the countryside and surrounded on all sides ...
... like the czenglish that was on the menu'd description.
We have noticed in the Czech Republic a lot of young Korean women travelling together in 2's and 3's. It turns out that about 5 years ago a Korean film studio made a series called "Love in Prague" which featured an all Korean cast, young and unrequited love etc and what do you know a booming tourist industry emerged. It seems only the girls travel as we see very few men travelling with them.
