    ... it onto the same train. A few stops down the route, the other train was detached from the one we were supposed to be on, and now our train said Hof on the front! I guess they piggyback onto each other for these smaller destinations, and then go their separate ways to their next stops.     ... much in awe as MJ and I were (even though we have been before). There is something magical about Rothenburg. Even found the puppet show theatre where we attended with our gang so many years ago (the puckfest weekend - who could forget).

    Another Bavarian lunch with wine or beer and soup, bratwurst with sauerkraut and strudel for dessert. It never really gets old.

    ... Gasthof was as downtown as possible.

    The mood was Christmas as it was chilly and the typical German overcast day. The decorations about town were Christmas colors. We entered many shops, especially devoted to Christmas. The ornaments were unfortunately outrageously expensive or likely made in China. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the town.

    We decided yesterday that seeing as the weather was very ordinary that we would drive one and a half hours to Stuttgart to visit the Mercedes Benz Museum. This was another of Andrew and Alain's dreams. With plenty of roadworks and wet weather our journey took 2 hours.
