... the reception area is in the inner courtyard in the middle of the building but there is a domed glass roof over what would have been open to the elements! The lifts are on the outside of the building, they are all glass & steel, Lana was a bit queasy going up in it and looking out into nothing!! Went for a wander through the centre of Brno which is only a rats throw from our luxurious Barcelo Brno Palace ...

... of the town! Boy we were buggered by the time we got into the Galant Hotel at 6pm, 83 kilometres on a hot day, bit tough for the first day! But we don't leave here till 11am tomorrow morning so can have a look around, we get a car ride to nearby Drnholec to start tomorrow's ride. ... issue and the Pynkva Cave was closed – not sure when it would be open but come back later.

So instead we visited another cave called the Catherine Cave about 500m from the ticket office. It was enormous inside, very interesting tour with an English speaking guide. The usual stalactites and stalagmites but in the main chamber they played music to show how good the acoustics are. It also has ...

... We had a local beer and glass of Moravian Rose at a bar downstairs from our apartment, and accompanying it we enjoyed some local delicacies, sausage with mustard and horseradish and Omouloc aged cheese from a small town about 50km from here.

Another world cup match - semi final's thank goodness - just two more matches to go. Congratulations to Germany on last night's demolition job on Brazil....
