... When they let us go, we saw a policeman kneeling on the bridge holding a machine gun intently watching the helicopter below. The police on the other side said it was routine drills. Hmmm ! Didn't look routine to us! There was a detour in one of the villages which totally turned Martin around so we had to back track & ask for directions. Then we got stuck waiting for a train to pass. ... and Mel seemed too shy to talk to any of them anyway. We ate ice-cream and got thoroughly damp. Donny borrowed Zdena's yellow plastic poncho and looked amusing.

We ferried back again and trudged up an atmospheric tunnel of a gravel track beneath the trees. It was steep and allegedly a cycle path, although I wouldn't have made much headway. Even walking up it, I filled my trainers with chippings.

... a fancy meat restaurant know for a specific cow raised in the Czech and outside the restaurant was a Chicago cow! not really but it sure looked like it!

... and, suddenly, that cemetary became a very popular place to be buried. According to signs at the chapel, the belief was that, because of the Golgotha dirt a body buried there would decompose completely in only 3 days time leaving only bleached bones. For reasons I don't understand people thought that would be a great thing to have happen to their bodies so lots of people wanted to be buried in this particular little cemetery.
