So there we are, on the most visited chunk of the Danube cycle path, between Donau and Vienna. There, a new breed of tourist is taking its roots. The cyclotourist. He can travel on his own or in group, from Europe, America or Asia. He is exactly like us. He has Ortlieb panniers, randonneur type bike, and says hi to us all the time. ... of us that this day will be hard to beat for riding. We rode most of the length of the czech republic and the roads were deserted. Only when we occasionally hit a BIG highway did we see many cars but most of the day was spent on perfect tarmac that twisted through big open landscapes with nobody around!
