Today we visited the UNESCO town of Telc. Pronounced Telch like belch. Un untouched 16th. century town.

Had a limited castle tour as they are filming the movie "Emperor". Barbara auditioned for a solo and got the part!! Only problem, we can't be here for the rest of the filming.

... concert from our hotel room-this time harp and violin. At 5 we boarded our bus and visited a family outside of town. They live in a 16th century house that they are restoring. After a tour of the house and yard we were treated to tea and cookies and a violin concert! Back to town, dinner in a cave, our first authentic Budweiser beer (not the American variety) and off to bed.

... a positive result of their dominance. Set among the trees, the whole outdoor theater revolves during performances. Unique! I could see Midsummer Night's Dream being performed to great effect.

We headed back in time, past the second part of the complex and were ready to enter the next phase, but were stopped by a closed gate and security guards. The castle was closed for 4 days ...

... started the morning with a few things we wanted to finish off in Cesky before jumping back in our little beast and hitting the road. We stopped in Plzen, hoping to find the Pilsner brewery but again we failed with the breweries. We found the Pilsner Museum but that was all, so again it was a lunch stop before heading off to Karlstejn and it's amazing castle. ... hungry Helen. Apples, plums that had got all squashed, sandwiches we had made at breakfast at the hotel and snuck into our bags, along with little sachets of jam, honey and butter for our rolls.
