... 1 hour later and about 30 elderly people appeared out of nowhere. It was modern, large, air-conditioned (still rather rare on Czech Rail) single carriage train. But after a short 35 minutes we get to Telc, I can tell you it was worth the trip.

There are two parts to the town, the old town (11-12th century) and the (marginally newer 15th century) town square and castle where we are staying. Telc is set amongst a series of lakes or ponds ...

... a well. Dan says it was delicious. Trebic is our overnight stop. We are staying in a UNESCO protected Jewish Quarter which dates from the 1300s. Christians and Jews lived together in Trebic until 1727 when the ruler ordered that the Jews build a separate settlement in the space between the river and the cliff face. There was a vibrant Jewish community until the Nazis deported the entire population to Auschwitz. After the war, 10 Jews returned. The community ...

... 367; později jsem jí mohl její starost a něhu vracet v Nikaragui, kde ona upadla do šíleně vysokých horeček, že jsem měl vážnou obavu, že onemocněla malárií nebo nějakou jinou tropickou nemocí. Venku 35 stupňů a Romča se svíjela v horečkách nad 40 stupňů. To vypadalo skutečně vážně, když v tom se z toho jakoby zázrakem dostala.

After staying the night not too far from Trebic's town centre, we decided to walked in to take a closer look. Roamed through the main street before heading up a nearby hill overlooking the town. Found a park bench with great views and lazed in the afternoon sun. Before night fall we drove a little further North, and by luck watched an amazing sunset.
