... remember the Cesky Krumlov photos. When we were her 20 years ago, NO ONE around the square spoke ONE word of English. Now it's a real tourist destination.

Castle tour tomorrow and graphite mine tour on Friday. Rain expected both days for both days.

The Chapter Huose was a beautiful room with fabulous acoustics, now used for concerts and weddings. The cloisters were especially lovely, with renaissance decoration. And then there was the church. ... a positive result of their dominance. Set among the trees, the whole outdoor theater revolves during performances. Unique! I could see Midsummer Night's Dream being performed to great effect.

We headed back in time, past the second part of the complex and were ready to enter the next phase, but were stopped by a closed gate and security guards. The castle was closed for 4 days ...

... Czech and kicked them out and then when the Czechs reclaimed their land and property and kicked out the Germans.
