I completed my second last day of the Cornwall Coastal Walk so have now done over 100 miles and have just 6 to go. Weather was strange, virtually no sun, just cloudy skies with mist and rain towards the end.

If you are as tired of coastal scenery as I am becoming, you may want to defer looking at the blog until at least 13 June because today and tomorrow are again by the coast and on the 13th I'll be on my way to Paris. However, if you ...

It was quite a difficult walk today. Just 11 miles from Pendeen to Sennen Cove but a lot of ups and downs as well as some rock scrambling. We know that one day we will be able to reciprocate in Perth the wonderful hospitality ...

I've been suffering from stomach cramps for the last three days and my imagination has been running away with me (I kept thinking of how in 2006 Cate was suffering from stomach cramps when we were overseas, but she still did everything as only Cate would including climbing the Eiffel Tower via the stairs rather than using the ...

Just a short six mile hike today from Hayle to the very
popular tourist destination of St Ives.

As I walked I couldn’t help remembering a riddle in one of the Arthur Mee’s Children’s encyclopaedias that I must have read as an eight or nine year old.

“As I was going to St Ives, I met a man with seven wives, each wife had seven cats, and each cat had seven ...
