    ... but we were flanked on two sides by a huge number of police in full riot gear. I was pretty certain that they were there for the protection of the Pride participants and this was later confirmed when we read reports that the Right wing thugs had later attacked the Pride marchers. What we hadn't clocked was that it was the first ever Pride in Gdansk, which made our visit to the city the more special.     It was a glorious morning. Bright, warm, still. Lovely.
