Went down to bar at 1800 and caught up with Narelle n Gerrard from Darwin. Had tea with them in hotel and went back to their room until midnight. Great night ...

We rode uphill to Mayrhofen (Mare-hoe-fun) about 6 miles away. Luckily it was along the river and the railroad track so there were few hills. The Ziller River is a pretty milky green color from all the glacial melt water and ...

The white cross is the symbol of the Order of Malta whose knights opened up guesthouses for pilgrims bound for the Holy Land during the Crusades. Mozart stayed there once, it was the center of resistance at the time of Napoleon, and sheltered Jewish refugees at the time of the Nazis.
