Fraueninsel and Family
I spent one of my last weekends in Germany visiting my Aunt Mary, Cousin Raquel, and Uncle Joerg at the Chiemsee in Bavaria Germany. My Aunt Dagi and I caught the train in Winnenden and traveled for a five hours through Ulm, Augsburg, and Munich and eventually arrived in Bad Endorf near the Chiemsee. We traveled all this way to not only see my family, but all to experience the most beautiful Christmas market in the world at the Fraueninsel, which is ...

The shoppers decided to cruise the limited outlets of the lakeside village, while the athletes headed off up one of the three valleys on a 4 mile stroll around a snow littered golf course.
We all met up for an adventurous tour of three ...
Walking in a winter wonderland
Monday 29 October Achenkirch still -Walking in a winter wonderland! More powdery snow overnight! Steph and I ventured out to the local supermarket to top up breakfast milk and fresh bread. We had negotiated a wintry walk on the western slopes for the wanderers and set off up the hillside surrounded by snow, conifers and stillness -wonderful stuff. Walking on the lower slopes was not too difficult. The path was relatively well defined and the ...
