Today. Mhm where to start??
1. Breakfast.. Tick.
2. 25min walk to the middle of nowhere.. Tick.
3. The worst bus instructions ever given.. Tick.
4. 1hr bus back to Prague.. Oops.
5. Bus dropoff in the middle of nowhere.. Tick.
... is unique in that the town is built on a horseshoe bend in the Vltava River with the Castle complex just across from the village. The town is small as are the old houses that make up the village. The castle complex however is very large and looms over the town on a high bluff. The complex was developed over several hundred years and owned by three aristocratic families associated with both Bohemia and the Holy Roman Emperors from 14th century until WWI.

... in a hostel means no lie ins so was away by 9.30 and heading roughly for the border. Detoured via a couple of ski lifts but the views were rolling rather than grand. Also a bit chilly and rainy this morning. The border crossing was unmanned but it was noticeable the fuel prices were lower ( there is a station adjacent to the crossing).
Then a scenic detour via a nice lake / national park which turned into a forest quest by GPS. Roads that, ok, were unpaved, by were ...
... to get to the bus on time and tried to sleep most of the way there. There really is no comfortable way and we have had several people tell the two of us that we sleep in really funny positions. I can't just sit straight up!!
