Here, we are at the completion of our 5 days in Barcelona as tomorrow we catch the train to Leon where we commence 'the walk'
i have really enjoyed this city and could easily spend more time here,probably exploring some more outside the city. The first two days we used the hop on/off bus to get our bearings and then revisited attractions that appealed most
The city has a really nice port and beach area which his pleasant to sit and people watch while enjoying some breeze. ...

... with the other girls and of course a bunch more selfies. We finally made our way back to the hotel and out to a team meal at a local restaurant. By the time this was all done and we got back to the hotel it was after midnight. Yeah thats right we are eating at 10pm or later most nights out here, but when you take a siesta in the middle of the day that's when everyone eats around here.

... in to get a little snack and the lady thought kurt was cute when he said per favore instead of grazie and she gave him a free cookie! We went next to piazza navona which was amazing! ... us off in the Gotic (Gothic) quarter. The buildings here were beautiful, and very ornate. We could see the Cathedral in the distance from where the bus stopped, and remarked that it would be lovely to walk around this area. We next stopped off at ‘Port Vell’ which is the city’s old port. ... for the Olympics held there in the 90's. Unfortunately, we were unable to stay and enjoy the beaches because of the topless grannies laying out everywhere. That and pale Katie cannot stay out in the sun for too long (sunscreen did not make it in the carry on bags). We spent most of our time in the shade and yet we still got sunburns! It makes no sense.
