    ... was almost just as sickening because it had rained every other day. However bits of hope remained. I found two butterflies and chased them around for a while to get a photo.     A strip of the Wall has become the Eastside Gallery, where known and unknown artists were able to paint their reflection piece on the Wall. It was run by the Stasi - who were the communist secret police and they ran this place as a prison where they would lock up and interrogate people who they thought were spies or enemies of the soviet state.     Or as we say it over here... Frohes Neues Jahr! Wow, the end of another year.. And what a crazy year it has been! A little difficult at the beginning, especially with a few losses in the family... New jobs followed for both Paul and me, and in Lithgow of all places! We settled into Clarence and both loved it, which was another surprise for us. After a few months we said goodbye to our new jobs, a very teary goodbye to all of our friends ...
