      ... our over water bungalow. It wasn't too far from the airport, about 3 miles. The car is a Ford Festiva. Very small but it does the trick. We did some diving this morning in hopes of finding some lemon sharks but we weren't lucky, maybe tomorrow. We have two days of two tanks each day. Hopefully we see some tomorrow!       ... dolphins, turtles, stingrays – on top. When the fabric dries, the shapes are now embedded in the cloth. Interesting. Our guide, with the help of one of the female tourists, even showed how the sarong can be worn in many different ways by the right combinations of folding and tying. It looked like a late night infomercial.

      ... about an hours drive to circumnavigate it. I contemplated renting a bike to the beach - to snorkel ...until informed by tourist bureau that biking was hazardous with all the le Truck traffic ( trucking tourists!!) on the road - that one public beach had no fish to see!!! i.e....paid 'excursions' the only way....very pricey too!! So did my usual "walk-about"...seeking 'affordable' ( my criteria) ...

      ... paniculus hanging over her grass skirt. She moved very well, in time to the drums but it was a strange site I guess a sign of diversity. We took the cart back to our room and had a beautiful nights rest. The next morning we were awakened for breakfast by a man in an outrigger canoe blowing on his shell horn. He carried a young Polynesian woman who had out breakfast of a tray. She came out of the canoe onto our deck ...

      Sailed from Bora Bora to Maupiti and just as were coming up to the lagoon entrance we spotted whales breaching. Some got off the boat hoping to swim with them. A cat and mouse game happened and then we sailed into the lagoon. Moored and had yummy lunch. 4 of us went onto the island and saw the stone carvings. Then found a really unusual house that had been created with coral and shells and met a very unusual ...
