As they pushed for him to take his seat as president of the country at Prague Castle, he embraced the crowd as a symbol of democratic freedom. After Czechoslovakia split into the Czech Republic and Slovakia, the castle became the seat of the Head of State of the new Czech Republic. Similar to what Masaryk ...

... I took her advice. The bus was right on time to collect its first passenger, being the off season there were only five passengers, four Russians and me, did feel a little sorry for the guide, having to explain first in Russian and then again in English just for me. First stop off was the castle where the bus dropped us off then proceeded back down the hill to wait while we enjoyed the tour of the castle and the changing of the guard as well ...
