Today we visited the UNESCO town of Telc. Pronounced Telch like belch. Un untouched 16th. century town.

Had a limited castle tour as they are filming the movie "Emperor". Barbara auditioned for a solo and got the part!! Only problem, we can't be here for the rest of the filming.

The Chapter Huose was a beautiful room with fabulous acoustics, now used for concerts and weddings. The cloisters were especially lovely, with renaissance decoration. And then there was the church. Next up was a raft trip down the river. There were three weirs on the route, and each one had a special chute for rafts and kayaks. ... castle on the opposite side to where we were staying.It is quite a small place with one main square and lots of winding streets off it. The town itself is fascinating. Cobbled streets, very old buildings and lots of local people trying to sell their products. Many of the shops were quite similar, children's wooden toys,souvenirs, restaurants, gem shops. There were lots of museums, the boys spotted a torture museum which they decided they'd like to visit the next ...
