... and Bourton on the Water, with its petite canals. The highlight of the day for me was a visit to Highgrove Gardens in Doughton, Tetbury, Gloucestershire. The private gardens of TRH The Prince of Wales & The Duchess if Cornwall. Security was tight, we were checked a couple of times for personal identification and no phones or cameras ...

... me to take some more spectacular photos. Our special guest was Juliet Marillier, a YA and fantasy author who has requested an invitation to the Readers and Writers Festival. Today we went up to Broadway Tower, a 18th century folly where, on a clear day you can see over 10 counties. Unfortunately it was a bit hazy today, so we could only see 4 or 5. Anyway, I am really tired tonight and am off to bed early to get ready for another big day ...

... Church which is even older. It contains the grave of William Shakespeare, his wife Anne, and their daughter as well as his mother and father. The graves are inside the church and the bodies are buried under the stones right in front of the altar.

After our tour, we then went back to the Golden Bee to have dinner. Cory ate the largest chili/cheese hotdog I've ever seen. Stuffed to the gills, we waddled back to the car and drove home. It was an interesting ...

... usually were all over tourist areas, highlighting the places to see. As we walked around, we manage to stumble on the canal and the Royal Shakespeare theatre. The area was full of ice cream vendors, today was about 14C so ice cream was a necessity, and people playing Frisbee and walking in the grassing area around the theatre and the canal. After some time in this area, we found a map and decided to head toward Shakespeare's birthplace.
