... north of the island. We found a bench overlooking the sea and stopped for a tuna sandwich...our favourite cheap traveller snack to make! We then headed back and Dave enjoyed all the windy roads. We stopped at a nice lookout too. That evening we decided to go out. Lonely Beach is meant to be THE party area with loud bars open until the early hours. Luckily our accommodation was up a hill away from it but you could hear music occasionally faintly. It takes about 5hours so seemed like a good time to write. Last time I wrote we were about to leave Cambodia and head across into Thailand. We caught a bus which took us to the border (paid a bit extra for a bus to take us all the way to Bangkok). We managed to cross the border with surprising ease ...

It's so difficult to sleep, maybe it's still jet lag who knows, prob got 3 hours last night.. An early breakfast of old faithful scrambled eggs in toast washed down with a few strong coffees.. The water I needed desperately as none in my bungalow... Spent an hour on the beach and watched a girl clearing leaves from the water in a net... and packed my gear as was heading over to Peter and Bonnie's place... Although I'd already paid for this Bungalow at Ao Pong I felt more comfortable ...
