      Stormy weather

Since we've been in Koh Chang the weather has been 2 hours sun, 2 hours rain, cloudy the rest of the time in any combination. And its been really windy today, in marked contrast to Samet, which was sunny or night time. So we put on our thinking caps (about the size of a pen cap, to be honest) this morning and reviewed our options. We weren't …

Here's the thing about the Koh Samet ferry. It leaves on time, but then turns back for people who are late. Which is nice, but really annoying for those of us who are punctual at 8 am.Not such a painless minibus journey this time. 4 guys on the 12 seater bus were over 6 ft and leg room was at a premium. And 2 guys were still drunk from the night …

... all catch up on some sleep. The hotel is gorgeous, very clean and modern with all the facilities you could need, comfy beds, free cold water, free bicycle rental and lovely staff. So I think it's safe to say were all over the moon. I'm sharing a room with Olivia and Amy and Nicole are just next door. Koh Kong is a really quiet little town, with a few shops and restaurants and a not so nice beach. There's barely any tourist at this time of ...

Everyone else is a bit lame, especially the sergeant. Chargers for glow poi don't fit. We haven't brought the one's that come with it, we've brought some standard micro-USB leads. Need to buy a stanley knife and see if we can trim the rubber down Read book til 5. Two loud birds stagger ...

... insects than David Attenborough can count in a day.

The day after we arrived we woke up late after enjoying a nice lie in and headed to Oasis restaurant which was a huge open wooden building on stilts with a thatched roof similar to all our bungalows. The space was brilliant as it had lots of comfy seating areas which looked out on to the jungle in front, where you could also spot the sea. Whilst eating breakfast we watched monkeys play in the nearby trees and huge ...
