Slow start this morning as we have to wait for the Monaco Service Centre to open so Ron can visit... Here's a bit of info for anyone travelling in Oregon....anyone over 18 has to carry ID at all times. Seems the state has passed a law that requires this and will fine anyone not complying. You need ID to buy booze, regardless of your age and to use a credit card...but apparently not a debit card. We were told that it is in place to control underage and homeless ...

... for dessert, mint chocolate chip ice cream pie with a chocolate rice crispy crust, delicious. It was a great evening listening to the stories of their travels, hearing about their town and getting their pitch for Oregon. People keep telling us that we will soon fall in love with Portland. We made the drive back and once again called it an early evening.

We went grocery shopping this morning. Finding the market would have been much easier with a little more local knowledge as the main road is divided where I wanted to turn. We went a little farther and turned around at the first opportunity. We got home, put away the groceries and saddled up again heading to Independence and Dallas.
