Randall brought us through several rooms of the hotel where the boats were being showed at, and we soon after left to go pick some huckleberries. He took us to one of his friends' houses in the mountains. As we approached his house, a deer ran right in front of us in the street! It was so cute and perky. ... because sometimes they act so nutty. I also think that is one of the things I love about cats.

Then there is the crazy male peacock, old blue, who sounds like a cat meowing to me. There is a large number of several breeds of goats. They are all quite adorable and the babies followed me everywhere, including through the gate. There are llamas, sheep, geese and also chickens, which the goats find interesting too.

... hip, it got really sore. Also, I had put new orthodics in my boots. The left foot fared very well, but I had to take the right insole out after 3 miles. It was just too tight on my little toe, even though I thought it was making my arch less sore...

This time, the backpack was only about half full; next time, I'm filling it with the items I'll be taking to Scotland. We should be going again in May, want to come?
