... to your cuban friend about eating alot of papaya.

I have planned out the next 3 months of my life( you think I'm exagerating, but I'm not). Basically it's non-stop bussing around on the weekends to some of the crazy destinations in Nica, but I'll give more details once I have actually been there.

As far as personal life in the house goes, its pretty relaxing. On my run this morning, I saw an eight year ...

So today was to be the sailing Catamaran and beach party day.....or so we thought! The materials have been updated (have to think we had something to do with that..), however, Princess listed their "Party Cruise & Beach" excursion on a Catmaran. I even called Princes to make sure it was a Sailing Catamaran with nets, etc....So, we got on to the bus that took us over to an area where ...

A very, very hot day in Grenada (high 80's / high 20's). When it showers, it feels very warm and almost dries instantly to your skin (very refreshing). We did some brief shopping today (Spice Islands). Ready to head sail to Bonaire (near South America) for tonight and tomorrow. One more port to go before sailing back to the USA, where we stop in Aruba on Wednesday (big shopping day).

Grenada's highlights & scenic drive

Dear Blog,

This morning, the Caribbean Princess made its way to beautiful GRENADA. We arrived at 12:00pm and had the luxury of sleeping in, of taking a relaxed breakfast plus having lunch on the ship before running to the disembarkation deck.

As the ship made its way to the port, my first impression of the island was the beauty of it. Beautiful emerald hillsides and tropical forests were opening up in front ...

... the fact that it is done when everything is soft and the coconut water is gone. Just before that exact moment, the head cook made some flour dumplings and threw them (literally) on the top stew in the pot. When the oil down was done, the pot was transferred to a bench for serving. It was so tasty and a wonderful experience. Since last summer, we are grandparents. The absolute worst part of being this far away is ...

... a very primitive, definitely unsterilized room with five large kettles. The juice is moved from one kettle to the other manually with a large ladle, gradually getting more heat until a proper level of sweetness is attained. It is then left to cool for two days before going to the distillery. Here it is boiled to a temperature of 250 degrees with the vapors being collected and rerouted to the testing place. This rum is labeled at 69% alcohol ...
