A couple of performers really stood out for us: a Chinese concert pianist who was discovered when he was a child prodigy by American violinist, Isaac Stern in the early 80s. He now lives in NY and after hearing him perform we can certainly understand why he is invited back to Carnegie Hall every year. Anyway, the boat was a ridiculous invention I don't know how anyone older would've managed it, they really don't make it easy for anyone at all. Our spirits brightened when we got off at James Bond Island where The man with the Golden Gun was filmed in 1974. ... exactly where we saw them! Even little baby Nemos.

          Snorkeling was unbelievable.
It took me a while to get used to - one time I started to choke, had a mini panic attack, and then realized my snorkel was stuck. I was trying to breath through the fabric of my life jacket (which is not easy to do). But once I trusted the laws of buoyancy & relaxed a little bit - I felt like I was living in a National Geographic documentary.

... or Kuala Lumpur. Penang is the closest and there are many companies who offer "visa run" services. Basically you pay a set price and they handle everything. Sounds pretty simple; they pick you up in a “luxury van” and drive overnight to Penang, they complete the application, take you to the consulate where you leave your passport and app, then drive to a hotel where you'll stay overnight and in ...
