... luggage, and make our way to the Pullman at Nai Thon.

He wasn’t joking about the traffic, it was crazy, we saw a few crashes on the way… luckily most of the traffic was heading into Patong, not out. He said it would take him maybe 3 hours to get back to town after dropping us off. Tiff was still feeling a bit seedy, so sat quietly in the back looking miserable while I chatted to the driver, and asked about this and that. He was very chatty, and in ...

... scooter with a new battery on the back. It was fixed in no time and we went back to our resort. We had a swim to cool down and a couple of drinks at the swim up bar. We were going to go out for dinner but saw that there was a restaurant set up in the garden at the resort so decided to have dinner there to save time, seeing we had tickets for the Muay Tai boxing which started at 9. ... something that has to be done if you are a first timer to Phuket.

Dinner on this night was quite special, at Indigo Pearl's amazing Black Ginger restaurant - you get pulled across the lake by a rope, on a wee pontoon type thing with seats. The decor of the restaurant itself is still very Tin Mine-esque, in line with the rest of the resort, but it also has a very asian feel. The food is Thai, and very reasonably priced for what I consider a 5 star experience.

... up by narrowing our search to Chalong and checking out a few places near the pier. Chalong doesn't have a beach so to speak but it's where our sailing course would start and finish so it seemed like as good a place as any to start the search. The second place we tried, could not have been more up Sarah's street, and I have to admit it is pretty special. I won't go into detail here as I'm sure that Sarah will wax lyrical about it in our next installment, but save to say, ...
