We used to come to Langebaan in the early 80's when I was in the Air Force. If you blinked you missed the town. There used to be a boat on the lagoon called the Big Bunny... I think. ... camping space, many picnic spots and walking trails. After a few hours there we are hungry and decide to eat in Paternoster – a real Sunday afternoon treat at a little red shack on the beach. From there we drive to Saldanha and then Langebaan and lastly trough the West Coast National Park with wonderful bird hides and wild flowers ...

From here we find our way to Veldrift situated on a lake area and then on to the Stywe Lyne Caravan Park – this park is fenced in but on the sea. The wind is blowing and it is rather cold tonight. The sun set is unbelievable...it is time for food and bed....I am still enjoying this trip to the fullest! ...
What a wonderful night we had in the fabulous guest house. Janet left the window open and it was just perfect sleeping with the sound of the waves breaking on the beach. It was admittedly however, just a tad cold as I noticed when I went to the loo and realised I was having trouble with my aim due to the freezing induced shivers I was having :).
