    ... pikies - translates to tortoise as that's what they look like) which are sheep liver wrapped in fat and bbq'd. Mike was in love. I tried them, and they were actually delicious. But very rich so I wouldn't be able to eat much. Dinner all around was amazing. The steak basically melted in your mouth, Bonnie made gem squash which were really good.     We left Cape Town yesterday morning after spending some time with the group visiting a township on the outskirts of Cape Town, gang crime, vigilianties, poverty, lack of education, no running water. Astounded due to being so close to the main town these folks have very little, still live separately from the whites and coloured, just makes you wonder.     ... every success for a "call back" later today.

    Returning via the One & Only Hotel we stopped for a Latte (honest!) as they were just setting up for tea. In following our pastry theme today I include a picture of the sumptuous cream tea buffet. For those concerned about our eating habits - we didn't indulge (on this occasion - but we still have three more tea times left in SA!!).
