    ... day yet Cape Town looked gorgeous. It's just surrounded by huge huge mountains and then have all these gorgeous docks .     ... we have seen of South Africa is amazingly beautiful. The light has a magical quality here that just makes everything stunning. People have been very friendly all along very helpful and good to us - but the people we have talked to about things are not very optimistic. The concensus is that things are getting worse instead of better. The townships get bigger, unemployment is worse, and nothing is being maintained.
