I made it to South Africa in one piece! It was a pretty easy flight over at about 8 and a half hours. I even managed to sleep for 4 hours in the flight, which is amazing! Go stand near window and was constantly told by all the people sitting on the cue chairs that I need to go to back in cue, no I have my papers all I need to do is hand them in. Window 9 tells me.. No, it's not the ghost of Jimi Hendrix but rather the yearly blooming of the jacaranda trees. They don't call this place 'Jacaranda City' for nothing - there's more lilac swathed around this city at the moment than in the Queen Mother's wardrobe!
