... by the music among my fellow French-Canadians was the moment when I fell in love with French-Canadian culture. I got back on the train and went on to Trois Pistoles. While at Trois Pistoles, there was work to be had as well as lots of time for fun and discovery. For one of the long weekends, a group of us decided we would hitch-hike to see the sights of the Gaspésie (a.k.a the Gaspé Peninsula). Our intentions were good however ...

... family room and we are all pretty comfortable.

We walked along the boardwalk and took pictures of the Rock. The waves were really rolling in. We are really on the ocean now. We had supper at an overpriced tourist trap and then back to the hotel to blog and play with our electronic gadgets.

We were now heading around the other side of the peninsular, so were now going west. The rain started to ease when we stopped at a view point to watched the Fur Seals bobbing around in the water. From there we carried on to Perce and then walked along the stoney beach to Perce Rock. Unfortunately, the tide wasn't out enough for us to walk to the rock, but we did get some lovely close views from where we were.
