Day 4, today, was from Matane to the village of Gaspe out near the tip of the peninsula.

The sun allowed the opportunity for many kodak moments, although sadly, many of the great sights could not be captured by my photo lens, as there just weren't safe places to pull over, especially with an extra 15 ft. tagging along. Around ...

After a great night under the stars we drove along the Gaspe coastline. It's a beautiful drive filled with cliffs and crashing ocean waves. We passed a few Westys along the way and stopped at some nice roadside lookouts to enjoy the air. Right before Gaspe we explored Parc National du Forillon. Then back to the room to plot out tomorrow's ride and do a little pre-packing so we can get on the road a little ...

Other than the beautiful scenery and some exciting mountain roads (17% downward grade, the highest yet), the trip to Perce was uneventful. Once we parked, we checked out the Perce rock lookout but we couldn't quite see the hole in the rock. We had to venture to the wharf to get a better ...

We considered just posting pictures of our journey around the Gaspe Peninsula - words cannot describe the beauty we've seen, but we'll try......

Our trip began on Tuesday with a stop at the Gaspe Peninsula Information Center where we were assisted by a helpful young girl who even ran out to the RV with a brochure Colleen had forgotten. The French Canadians have been very friendly wherever we go and their lilting, "bonjour" makes us feel like ...
