The second stop into the Black Forest region was the Maulbronn Abbey, a Monastery built sometime in the 1300s. The pamphlet we got mentioned it was over 800 years old, but I'm getting confused as some components were a little younger than that, like 600 years old. In any case, it was incredible. They had some descriptions of the masonry that was done to construct it. I just can't imagine the hard work ...

... down the stairs, jog along the tunnel, heave them back up the stairs...the train was already at the platform so Lisa ran over and held the door while I panted along behind. Well I made it in. Except now we were looking at the display which says the train is going to Karlsruhe. They are always labeled with the final destination. Do we know if Heidelberg is a stop on the Karlsruhe line?
