... catch the train to the airport.

Overall my impression of Pretoria was that there are some extremely nice areas that reminded me a lot of Belair \ Burnside with wide streets dotted with huge green trees, or big houses on hills overlooking the city. As far as how dangerous each place is, it all comes down to risk. You are probably more at risk in some areas in Pretoria and Johannesburg than you are in the Western Cape, or back home in Australia. Dave watched an Arsenal Champions League game on TV while I I got under the bedclothes to get really warm and that was it! Unbelievably I fell asleep and, apart from waking up briefly a couple of times, I slept in my clothes for about 10 and a half hours - if only I could sleep that well at home! I looked outside and noticed one of the new white horses was down. They unfortunately hang it up and skin and take out the insides right outside of my room, so ...
