Time waits for no-one and it is hard for me to appreciate that the Frimley plant closed almost two years ago and that I left the UK at the end of December 2012 and have been back to the UK for 3 visits for a total of 37 days since then.

Pretoria is the third of the South African cities featured on this Trip Down Memory Lane section of our trip. V lived 9 months in this city in 1994 and on a sunny May morning, walked from his apartment in Arcadia to the Union Buildings for Mandela's inauguration as President of South Africa. M spent a few months in South Africa at that time splitting her time between Durban and Pretoria.

We are renting our own flat for the next two nights in Sandton (right next to Johannesburg), until our next flight to Sri Lanka. Our flat was really nice. The lady who we rented from stocked the fridge with cheese, crackers, carrot cake, juice, milk and other things for us.
