I watched Gav's tattoo being done and the guy was incredible, we had heard he had been there for 17 years and is the most experienced guy in Pai, he was the reason why people started going to Pai to get tattoos and why the ...

    Beautiful Chiang Mai ☀️

... was truly stunning. Thai temples are so extraordinary with their gold and deep colour interior and Buddhas of all shapes and sizes. The views from the back of the temple were absolutely stunning too, you could see all over Chiang Mai! The weather was gorgeous today, really hot and sunny which was a surprise to me after everyone told me the north of Thailand would be colder. Our next stop was a waterfall, a few more sights and ...

... and Chinese. Within ten minutes of their very first ride they reach an intersection, look the wrong way for traffic coming from the left and BOOM a smashed bike, broken leg or worse. In party spots like Ko Pha Ngan it's a combination of booze, over confidence, speed and sheer stupidity that is the killer. Failure to watch the road for potholes, oil, loose gravel and even buffalo or elephant **** can cause skids and the resultant grazed limbs. How else can one explain the ...

... with laughter's and joy. I enjoyed your company very much and look forward to seeing you again sometime in Amsterdam and Oxford!! As mentioned before I am off to Sydney on Monday and I look forward to Chapter 2 of my trip! On a different but somewhat related note; uploading pictures on this blog is a nightmare and very time consuming so friend me on Facebook for more pictures and videos of my great adventure in the APAC Region. We had a lie in today and then checked out of our hotel. We went into town with our backpacks for lunch and to pick up some souvenirs. We got on the first bus to Chiang Mai, this was just a mini bus, it was a lot dirtier than the last one and the air conditioning wasn't working properly . So the 763 curves from Pai back to Chiang Mai were experienced at the back of a very small and very hot minibus. From Chiang Mai we had an ...
