... So back we went to ask someone else. When you reach the hill out of town take a left, you can’t miss it, we were told again. Well, we did... As these are communal lands there is no such thing as left, right or straight, once you leave the main gravel road. The tracks crisscross each other and we didn’t want to get lost in the bush. ... to have a go at them as they are one of the most valuable creatures in Namibia! Fortunately everything went smoothly and the cat quickly reversed into our box and we secured it onto the bakkie. He'd been fed and watered and seemed worn out. Probably from trying to escape the cage. We got back pretty late so the cheetah was left in his box until the following day. Thank god someone had saved us some food for dinner, especially as I'd missed out on lunch!
