So we drove to South Bay of Kaikoura and walked part of the peninsula walk to Whaler’s point. We had really dramatic black clouds above and the sun beaming down. We got back to the car without getting rained on. The mountains did look like something...maybe snow was falling on them.

Happy 4th of July!!
Hello all! Happy 4th of July! We're pretty homesick right about now because we're missing out on all the traditional festivities, but we're celebrating by making burgers for lunch and fish tacos for dinner! Unfortunately it's a pretty rainy day today so we're just watching movies at our hostel (our dolphin outing was canceled due to the low visibility, but we'll try again tomorrow!) and cooking delicious food!
