... ancient city of Sukhothai and our digs for the night, a pair of semi detached old Style Thai bungalows. We'd checked the place beforehand on-line and the picture showed a bungalow nestled beside water covered with beautiful water lillys. Ours was beside a dried up sandy ditch. However we could park the car nearby and it was very convenient for visiting the city on our hired bikes.
After a particularly tasteless supper we decided to party (!) and play scrabble in Jamie's room.

... and maybe even some travel buddies! I have to look past the fact that I'm staying in a tent! Tomorrow I am catching the 07.15 2nd class bus to Chiang Mai. This will be my first experience of this class so lets see what happens. My trip to Sukhothai on 1st class was pleasant enough so here's hoping its not too rough as its still a 5.5 hour journey.
