The Mall of the Emirates is another very modern shopping extravagance, containing pretty much every major brand from around the world, after skiing we went to 'The Cheesecake Factory' made famous from The Big Bang Theory, had an excellent BBQ Burger with Fries. For the first time tonight we used the rooftop swimming pool and tried out the spa facilities, lying by the pool in swimmers at 10pm in the pitch ...

... top, there is a viewing platform that covers most of the floor with floor to ceiling glass. My goodness, it is a long way up or down whichever way you look at it. The platform provides a panoramic view of Dubai and clearly shows the massive development that has occurred in this place over the past 20 years. It also reinforces that this place is all sand, no grass here! It looks decidedly different and strange. Looking directly down, cars look very small and people ...
