Defo worth a stay at the nest, away the hustle of Chinatown. Nice and chilled like I nest would be I suppose. Squawk!

    Sanctuary in the city

As previous reviewers have commented the area where The Nest is, doesn't look the best. However it is in a perfect location if you can forgive the immediate area.
If you turn right you reach the main road where you can catch the free city bus. There's also a large shopping mall with a food court and cinema just a few minutes' walk away. The monorail station is very close too. If you turn left you will reach the food hawker's market.
The hotel itself is a peaceful sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the city. You take your shoes off when you arrive and it sets the tone for the rest of your stay.
We booked a superior double en-suite for 114 MYR a night (134 at the weekend) as we wanted a bit of space for our backpacks. The room was spotlessly clean and spacious. The air con was perfect. The bathroom was a little on the small side, but the shower was warm and powerful enough. Because of the size of the bathroom the toilet seat was always wet from the shower, but nothing major.
Breakfast was self service and consisted of cereal, toast, jam, bananas, tea and coffee. Juice would have been nice as my husband doesn't drink tea or coffee.
We would highly recommend The Nest, we felt that we got a great room for a good price in KL.

Small, great value guesthouse very close to the Bukit Buntang area (literally 3 mins walk). Safe, clean, fast free wi-fi, free breakfast, tour bookings, great staff and lovely air con. Well recommended.

    Hey Guys,

Well we managed to hitch a free ride to the port with our posh hotel and the ferry was on time :) A first for Thailand we think :) The boat trip was about an hour and still no sea sickness(think the bands really do work). When we got off the ferry there was the usual taxis waiting to whisk you away to their resort. We got in a …

Andrew slept until lunchtime (never before seen!) while I did some admin on computer. Booked Lombok accommodation and sorted some stuff before finally getting out at 1530(!) Dashed to post office to ship ridiculous fruit bowl back to UK for a ridiculous price! Then a bit of retail therapy in Bukit Bingtang area of city. Attempted to get monorail …

Arrived in KL and took shuttle train to city centre. Checked in to Orange Pekoe …

Well the year of the horse came in with a blaze of fireworks and now kids is the time to ask your parents to buy you a horse. If you can't have a horse you will have to make do with an orange sorry. The display around the towers was spectacular and thousands of us stood there and enjoyed the show. No photos sorry just too many people around.

After our late night we decided today to have a later start, and we weren't alone by the look of it the streets and roads were ...
