Sunshine and warm Temperatures
I am happy to report that it was a fairly uneventful trip from London to Johannesburg. The biggest challenge always when entering South Africa first thing in the morning is the queues in immigration - arriving on a jumbo jet full of people from the UK at the same time as a plane from China and one from Amsterdam means a lot of people in he queue which equals over an hour to clear immigration! In addition to Dr. Coetzee’s wonderful hospitality, I was treated to a tour of campus by Lynette van Niekerk. Lynette saw me wandering campus, obviously a little lost, and offered to give me a tour of the impressive University of Pretoria. Besides being a generous host and knowledgeable ...
