Can't believe how fast those 6 weeks went! Today was a pretty busy day that definitely flew by! We met Nawang at the Polytechnic so that we could say good-bye to the people there. The Polytechnic was our sponsor that we needed in order to get our Visa to come here so we were invited into their monthly meeting to tell them about our experiences in Indonesia and say thank-you. After that quick meeting, we went to Mily and Aldi's house to say good-bye to them as well and ...

We got up at 3:15 this morning to be at Miss Buneti's house to get our hair and make-up done for the dance. It was so much fun! It kind of felt like it was a wedding party on the day of the wedding (not that I know what that is like lol). Last day at the Orthopedic Hospital! It was pretty slack to be honest. We assessed one c-spine patient who had a very protracted scapula, tight pecs/scalenes/paraspinals and paresthesia into all of her fingers. We gave her scap retractions, chin tucks, and pec stretches. We spent the rest of the morning touring the hospital. Orthotics and prosthetics was so cool! They have a really large lab here and they make a lot of stuff ...

Today we went to some local Hindu temples: Candi Sukuh and Candi Ceto. The were both small but it was kind of nice because they weren't as crowded as Borobudur and Prambanan. I really enjoyed Candi Sukuh. I could have stayed at the top forever, it was so peaceful. I had a lot of fun taking pictures. After seeing the temple we had lunch. Rabbit sate- it came with peanut sauce ...

... we got there some pink started to appear in the sky and for the next hour we watched it until finally the sun itself rose over the horizon. Easily the best sunrise I have ever seen! I celebrated by eating a whole bar of Dairy Milk haha. Once the sun rose there was a special flag raising ceremony on top of the mountain for Indonesian Independence Day. It was really cool, the Indonesian national anthem is beautiful and everyone joins in when it is being sung. We were ...
