... and sat on the wall watching the water traffic while listening to the wonderful sounds of a local group on the bandstand playing everything from the Blues to Caribbean classics. While we were sitting there we watched as another giant Royal Caribbean cruise ship came in, executed an effortless and extremely impressive three point u-turn and backed into its parking spot!

Time to hit the beach… it was just as we had read about, a free public beach lined with shacks ...

... show went off the ship’s port side as we sailed southeast of Great Abaco Island, Bahamas. It’s the first Norwegian ship to feature an on-board fireworks display. Pretty neat!

The ‘80s party died out quickly thereafter, so we called it an early night and returned to our cabin at 9:48 to get ready for bed. Then watched a “Mighty Ships” documentary on TV at 10:15 about Breakaway’s inaugural trans-Atlantic voyage ...

The last day of summer

... with nowhere comfortable to sit. We came back on board and went to Satellite Falls and chilled.

Later we'll go back to our room and pack, have our final dinner with our table mates and hand out our gratuities.

It really does feel like it's all over. I'm glad really, and will be pleased to get home, although I dread all the aggravation we'll walk into when we get back.

... had never seen water so blue and so clear before. The beach was amazing, even know I still think that Panama City does have whiter beaches. But nothing can compare to the color of the water in the bahamas. After we docked on the island, everyone was split up into separate groups.
