Manorbier is one of the few places I fully relax on vacation. There's little else to say about today. Manorbier remains the pleasantest of places, though the castle staff is clearly looking to bring in more money -- a wedding was being held on the grounds just as we were arriving. Of course, part of what makes Manorbier so pleasant are the people and we're very happy to see them again.

... Oxwich Beach where we would pick up our walk from yesterday and continue on. We said our farewells as were walking from Oxwich straight to our BnB in Mumbles and were quite sad to see him go; as the only cab service in the Gower, he didn’t need to be great company, but he really was and of course, seeing him at the end of our long days was always accompanied by a great feeling of happiness.

We strode along easily and happily, enjoying the fantastic view. The trail took a weird turn into a farmer’s field where we felt as if we were walking around a labyrinth, but finally we escaped the wheat and climbed over a stile. We almost missed the turn that took us down closer to the ocean where it became much narrower. The beach reminded us of the Bay of Fundy with huge slabs of rock, but much more majestic.
