That apparently is the Glendale family. Sigh. Anyways. Back at the inn, I sat in the sun and read. A book. Life is so bectic that I rarely get a chance to do that. My day trip to visit the Skellig Islands would have to be one of the best things ...

... to get on top of the stone wall and take pictures. (I needed a boost up; Tia somehow made it graceful; Michelle was both impressive and hilarious with her near-falls over both sides of the wall. Her struggle even caught the attention of a passing ambulance driver with his lights on. In short, appreciate those pics.) We finally made it to Killarney Nation Park, where the scenery was beautiful. There was a birch area that came straight out of that one scene ...

... the ocean and lakes south of Killarney. It was time to head back to the hotel for a rest before dinner as the drive had been taxing for Chris. After dinner we were serenaded with Irish music from two Irish musicians and volunteers from the other hotel guests. The first "volunteer" was a frenchman named Patrick, apparently he's a regular at these sing-alongs. One of the other guests, a friend of the frenchman with the irish name, is a local ...
