... 1000 years ago to hand carve the intricate designs into all parts of the building. We walked through the cathedral which still hosts mass and ceremonies and were amazed that it took about 250 years to build it completely which is just extraordinary. While we are sure to see a few more churches and cathedrals not sure we will see as many as impressive as this. We then came home and tried to decide on a place for a new years eve ...

Wow what a night!
After facebooking an event to hopefully meet some of my British family for the first time we were utterly taken back by at 40-50+ strong turnout. Walking through the door to the Burton House Restaurant we were anxious, nervous and not sure what to expect then all of a sudden it was like the pages I see daily on facebook had come to life.
It was fabulous to also see the Smith side of the family finally meet the Rowe side ...
