... hilltops and rural country villages. As a passenger you can catch a glimpse of Sri Lankan life; locals bathing in the river, or plucking tea leaves in the endless tea plantations. We were lucky enough to have window seats, making the 4 hour journey enjoyable and memorable, a Sri Lankan highlight.

I was invited on another trip with members of Rosiee's family! This time, her brother and niece, visiting from Sydney, had decided to travel to Nuwara Eliya, a town further inland in the main tea growing region of the country.
