The rain's following us :(
10th Sept – Udaipur
We were up at 5:45 to catch our 7:30 bus. No where to put our bags so ended up with them at our feet which actually turned out to be rather comfy because we could put our legs up. Of course as soon as we set off, we were asleep for a good 2 and bit hours before a stop, where I asked to be directed to …
Udaipur
We arrived in Udaipur at lunchtime after an uneventful 5 hour bus ride from Mount Abu with Eilane. We checked into Nukkad Guest House where Eilane had stayed before, the place was great and we had a really nice room with stain glass windows (the little luxuries in India!!). The weather still wasn't great due to the cyclone down the coast so it was …
Great place
I really liked Udaipur. I stayed on the rooftop of the guesthouse with an amazing view of pretty houses and alleyways. The people were very nice and the city palace was beautiful. I would come back for longer next time.
Jaipur - Udaipur
Toen we in Jaipur …
Udaipur, la ville blanche et d’Octopussy
Bonjour,

After a long bus ride, we got a tuk-tuk here for 50 IR - you should be able to get anywhere in central Udaipur for no more than this! The guesthouse is beautiful; it revolves around a spiral staircase with flowers falling from the roof all the way down to the ground floor. The room are nice with a fan and simple Western toilet and shower. We even managed to get some hot water for the first time in India!
It has a restaurant for breakfast dinner and this area is also a sort of common room with wifi and a computer. The staff are very helpful and the food here is gorgeous (make sure you ask for no spice if you can't handle it). The location is brilliant, right in the middle of the shops, restaurants and tourist sites. Highly recommended!

Nice spacious room but hot water was promised although there wasn't. Nice place to have breakfast and dinner was very good and made by the two women in the household. Owner can be a too cowsey, but will help you any time.
